Old Abe
Old Abe, a bald eagle, was the mascot of the 8th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the American Civil War. He was a fierce fighter and a symbol of hope for the Union troops. After the war, his image was adopted by many organizations, including Case Corporation and the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division. He remains a beloved figure in American history.
